EMO 2009: Fagor Automation has managed to combine in the new 8065 CNC the versatility and simplicity of the 8055 CNC with the power of the 8070 CNC - Hall 3, Stand G11
The 8055 CNC, always considered a key part of Fagor Automation’s range of numerical controls, is a real classic in the sector. It is the ideal instrument to tackle the social and business changes affecting the machine tool sector today; a sector with an increasing number of machine operators with less programming knowledge and, on many occasions, very little work experience.
This CNC, with a proprietary operating system, is mainly used by machine-tool manufacturers, but is also highly appreciated in the retrofit sector, especially on large machines.
Its conversational programming language, which does not require any ISO programming knowledge, makes it an ideal CNC for machining single parts as well as for mass production. The conversational language is adapted to the shop working methods, using help screens and graphics, which facilitate the programming of any part, making it a very simple task.
The 8070 CNC is aimed at larger machines for more complex machining. Based on a PC platform, manufactured here, it maintains all the features appreciated by the operator in the 8055 CNC. It also offers some new ones which are ideal for working on 5-axis machines, lathes with Y axis, machining for sectors like aerospace or energy, to obtain higher quality machining and substantial savings in machining times.
Fagor Automation’s achievement has been to merge in a single numerical control the versatility and simplicity of the 8055 CNC with power of the 8070 CNC, to obtain the new product, the 8065 CNC which will presented at the next edition of the EMO in Milan from 5 to 10 October 2009.
The 8065 CNC represents the ideal synthesis between the two already existing numerical controls. A tough challenge if you take into account that both of the original CNCs are already excellent in their relevant sectors and because it has not been easy to integrate the best features of each of them in a single product.
This challenge has been tackled excellently by the designers at Fagor Automation.
For users and customers already acquainted with the 8055 CNC, the new 8065 CNC will seem familiar, as it is accessed and operated the same way that they are already used to and because it offers more power and machining capacity than before, comparable to the higher-.end CNCs.
The 8065 CNC also improves on the look of the 8070 CNC, which when it came out represented a significant qualitative leap forward. Its new appearance, with rear mounting, and the change in design of the monitor make it a more modern CNC.
What’s more, the combination of all the power and easy operation of Fagor CNCs make this new 8065 CNC the first of the next generation, which like all user-friendly products, is easy to program. The new CNC has been fully adapted to the new market requirements, with all the potential required by increasingly more complex machines and the easy operation required by new operators.
