The long travels of the F series (longitudinal from 4,000 to 30,000 mm; vertical from 1,600 to 4,800 mm, and transversal from 1,200, 1,500 and 1,600 mm), together with the possibility of incorporating rotary tables and rotary moving tables, make the F series a priority for customers requiring a high level of flexibility, a high chip removal rate and optimum precision in finishing.
The F series travelling column milling machines can be equipped with 28, 30 and 37 kW, from 3,000 to 6,000 rpm automatic and/or orthogonal headstocks. They come with 30 to 120 position, automatic tool magazines. They can also be equipped with high speed electro spindles.
These are optimum features for the machining of large parts in one clamping, the carrying out the roughing, semi-finishing and finishing, with a considerable saving in costs.
