ONA will exhibit in EMO 2009 the new modularly designed NX and AF families of large scale EDM machines - Hall 1 – Stand B05
ONA, world leader in large & customized EDM machines, will exhibit at EMO (pavilion 1, stand B05) four EDM machines. Two of them belong to the modularly designed ONA NX and AF families of large scale die-sinking and wire EDM machines. The hallmark of these new machines is their versatility. Because customers can choose among a large quantity of different standard elements, each user can flexibly configure a machine to suit its precise needs.
In the the category of die sinking EDM machines, ONA will exhibit two machines: one ONA NX8 MODULAR and one ONA NX4C.
The ONA NX8 MODULAR belongs to the large scale ONA NX series with modular design. ONA's NX MODULAR series machines use prefabricated modules for the different bodies that configure the X-Y-Z axes, drastically reducing machine assembly time. Each customer can get a custom system for almost the same price and lead time as a standard machine.
Featuring a rise-and-fall working tank, the ONA NX4C is equipped with the open control and supervision protocol ONA-S64 CNC and has a design that facilitates automation of all sorts of applications. The ONA-S64 CNC, which allows the machine to be interconnected with robots, palletization systems and plant controllers, guarantees effective movement and eroding in simultaneous 6-axis operation (c-, a-, and b-axes in addition to x, y, and z).
In the the category of wire cutting EDM machines, ONA will exhibit two machines: one ONA AF60 MODULAR and one ONA AF25.
The ONA AF60 MODULAR belongs to the large scale ONA AF series with modular design. Customers can chose between 20 different standard configurations. ONA's AF MODULAR machines offer the possibility for cutting workpieces of up to 700 mm in height in the totally submerged mode.
The ONA AF25 is the smallest model of wire EDM machine manufactured by ONA. This model, the same as all ONA AF MODULAR models, includes a high power ONA Easycut digital generator, designed and sized to reach the highest possible EDM cutting speeds (450 mm2/minute with wire with Ø 0.33 mm and 370 mm2/min with wire with Ø 0.25 mm), providing 100% electrolytic corrosion free cuts and without any detriment to cutting speed.
